Essential Functions:

Performing the following will involve travel, including driving, to various locations.

  • Overall supervision of youth in program is assigned
  • Providerole-modeling behavior, facilitate appropriate communications, model and develop suitable problem solving and conflict resolution skills for youth, supervise and monitor the whereabouts of Assures that youth adhere to specified standards of conduct, assuring appropriate youth interactions and interceding as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records and files in accordance with quality assurance Document daily activities and services provided.
  • Provide Individual and Group Skill Building activities to youth as assigned or needed
  • Plan and supervise recreational activities for youth, both on-site and in the community
  • Document incidents, run reports, and other emergency situations, and immediately notify Case Manager and/or Supervisor
  • Provide on-time and accurate distribution and documentation of prescription medications to youth.
  • Maintain efficient scheduling and transportation of youth to medical, dental and other necessary This includes pre-scheduling vehicles by way of usage logs.
  • Plan and follow-through on details to meet the interests of youth and program Implement behavior management systems (point sheets, level system, etc.). Maintain consistency with program/Agency rules, routines and policies.
  • Maintain clear and respectful communication with other staff, youth, family members, foster parents and outside community
  • Provide appropriate supervision of groups of youths, as determined by ratio standards, before, after school, and at other times when the youth are not in school.
  • Work with counselors and foster parents to provide additional assistance and support services to youth, counselors and foster parents as requested, including providing general errands, as

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Must be able to provide appropriate services and interact appropriately with people from diverse socio-economic, racial, ethnic, and other cultural groups, considering their needs and impact of the interaction.

  • Job Knowledge: Degree or 2 years of experience in a social service, mental health, or care giving setting which may have resulted from work, internships or volunteering, OR related experience where skills necessary to perform the job is demonstrated OR any combination of education and experience with children, youth, young adults or the special needs population, equivalent to two * Level 4
  • Supervising: No supervisory or lead Level 1

Additional Requirements/Preferences, including Licenses and/or Certifications:

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence (Oregon or Washington), personal automobile liability insurance, and pass a DMV driving record
  • Must meet the driving requirements under the Agency Safe Driving Policy, and maintain a good driving record that is eligible for coverage by the agency's current insurance
  • Must successfully pass the Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check and, if applicable,
  • Must be able to pass the pre-employment reference checks.
  • Must be able to provide official grade transcripts, including the education level, from all educational institutions mentioned in the education section of the employment
  • Must be able to provide a copy of his/her own social security card for W-4
  • Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the
